ALL WHITE WEDDING IN BOCA GRANDE
Natalie and Luke’s all white wedding in Boca Grande is the epitome of a “beach chic” wedding. The couple wanted an early spring wedding, but currently reside in Chicago. If you know anything about early spring weather in Chicago, you know the conditions aren’t exactly prime for a warm weather wedding. So the couple decided to have a destination wedding in beautiful Boca Grande, where the bride’s family has a home. Boca Grande is an exquisite little beach town with so much “old Florida” charm. It’s tucked away at the end of an island that has hardly any traffic besides golf carts bringing residents to and from the beach. To kick off their wedding weekend, Natalie and Luke had a festive welcome party on Useppa Island. Guests, who were dressed all in white, were shuttled over to the island via boat. Upon arriving, guests were given flip flips to make the trek up the dock to the Useppa Island Club. Since guests were dressed all in white, Natalie chose brightly colored centerpieces to spice up the decor. Palm leaves, orchids, and tropical fruit sat in the center of each table. SO fun!! Their wedding ceremony was held on Banyan Street, beneath a canopy of large banyan trees. The location is absolutely breathtaking and filled with so much old Florida magic! After the ceremony, guests headed to the magnificent Gasparilla Inn and Club for the wedding reception. The Inn overlooks the ocean, and was the perfect backdrop for their dreamy all white wedding reception.
For wedding day design, Natalie wanted to keep the color scheme as neutral as possible. So we relied a lot on white, a little bit of light gray, and a tiny pop of yellow. The pop of yellow was a nod to the iconic yellow and white striped beach umbrellas of the Gasparilla Inn. Such a fun touch!! Overall, their white on white color combination looked dreamy when set amongst the beautiful backdrop of Boca Grande. To keep the neutral color scheme for their wedding invitations, we printed the invitations in white foil on a beautiful white cotton paper. Each invitation was tucked inside a white folio. The folio was blind embossed with a palm leaf pattern that the bride’s father sketched. Such a special touch! To finish each suite, we wrapped a delicate yellow twine around the folio. To tie it all together, a tag hung from the twine that featured a yellow and white striped beach umbrella and the couple’s wedding date. So chic!! The finished product was really special. We could not have been more excited with how everything turned out for Natalie and Luke’s dreamy white wedding in Boca Grande.
