Girly Mother Goose Birthday
There’s something about turning one that is just SO much fun! First birthdays are such big milestones in a child’s life, and we love nothing more than helping parents celebrate their child’s big day. For Scottie’s first birthday, her parents threw her a Mother Goose themed party. We were SO excited to put a N&L spin on such a classic children’s party theme!! So we got to work on making something traditional, but with a fun twist. We could not have been more thrilled with how everything for Scottie’s girly Mother Goose birthday turned out. Sneak a peek below of this adorable birthday!!
Scottie’s parents wanted to keep the feel of her party both classic and girly, with a touch of Southern flair. So for her girly Mother Goose birthday invitations, we highlighted characters from various Mother Goose rhymes. To keep it girly, we used a lot of pink and pretty script fonts. We paired the pretty pink with a soft green, light blue, and a coral envelope. To give the invitation a touch of Southern goodness, we utilized a gingham pattern on the back of the invitation. We lined the envelopes with a toile pattern featuring different Mother Goose characters. The toile was the perfect traditional touch to finish off this adorable invitation!
The Mother Goose inspired party swag we designed for Scottie was so sweet! Mother Goose herself made an appearance on Scottie’s cocktail napkins and shatterproof cups. Scottie’s mom tied our coordinating favor tags onto Mother Goose nursery rhyme shaped cookies. We love the idea of giving out theme inspired frosted cookies as a party favor (especially when paired with a N&L favor tag)!
How beautiful was Scottie’s nursery rhyme inspired birthday cake? We absolutelty love the watercolor Mother Goose characters paired with the flowers and white picket fence. So sweet!!
Happy first birthday, Scottie! Thanks for letting us help make one so much fun!!
