Rosemary Beach Road Trip
In April, Lauren and I packed up her car and went for a road trip to Rosemary Beach! Living in Chicago and rarely being in a car, it was actually kinda fun to relive the days of long road trips…We had plenty of time to catch up, eat junk food (because calories don’t count in the car, right?) and plan out our trip. This was technically a working vacation so we had a loose agenda. Lauren found an adorable carriage house rental, it was decorated to perfection!
Rosemary is the cutest little beach town along 30A, complete with little shops, beautiful houses and a Town Hall (we saw several wedding festivities going on there), it’s like out of a story book!
Our favorite spot was The Pearl. It’s a hotel with restaurants, a rooftop bar, pool and spa…what more could a girl ask for!? We brunched at Havana Beach Bar and Grill and enjoyed drinks and bites at the rooftop bar. They even had a live band one night. We may have splurged on our last day and got facials at the spa!
We drove to Santa Rosa one night to go to one of our favorite beach bars, Bud and Alley’s! Always a good time, and fun atmosphere! We took a taxi home and rode bikes 8 miles back the next morning to get Lauren’s car, ha! Better safe than sorry!
Another highlight of the trip was spending a day at The Caliza Pool in Alys Beach (walking distance from Rosemary). Our friend Teresa of Bloomsbury Farm was so kind to offer us her pool pass. The pool is UNREAL, so many gorgeous details; from the hammocks and Moroccan details to the silver beaded drapes along the bar and plush towels…Even the bathrooms are fab! Swoon!
Confession: We didn’t get much work done (I’m blaming it on the bad internet connection, lol) but we sure had a great trip!
